VehicleMD is a free AI-powered informational tool that generates vehicle health reports. It is not a professional vehicle inspection service, diagnostic tool, or substitute for a qualified mechanic's evaluation. All reports are generated by artificial intelligence and should be treated as estimates, not verified assessments.

2. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

All reports, scores, verdicts, market value estimates, and chat responses are generated by artificial intelligence. These outputs are estimates based on publicly available data and AI analysis. They may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies.

VehicleMD does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any AI-generated content. Users should independently verify all information before making decisions based on it.

3. NHTSA Data

Recall and complaint data is sourced from the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). While this data comes from an official government source, VehicleMD does not guarantee its completeness or timeliness. Users should verify recall status directly with NHTSA or their vehicle manufacturer.

4. No Professional Advice

VehicleMD does not provide professional automotive, mechanical, financial, or legal advice. The "Buy," "Buy with Caution," and "Avoid" verdicts are AI-generated opinions, not professional recommendations.

Users should always have a vehicle inspected by a qualified mechanic before purchase. Do not rely solely on VehicleMD reports when making vehicle purchase decisions.

5. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, VehicleMD and its operators shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from the use of or reliance on this service, including but not limited to financial losses from vehicle purchase decisions.

6. No Warranty

The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

7. User Responsibilities

Users are responsible for verifying all information independently. Users should not rely solely on VehicleMD reports when making vehicle purchase decisions.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to circumvent rate limits or abuse the API
• Submit false, misleading, or malicious input to the Service
• Scrape, copy, or redistribute reports for commercial purposes without permission
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, hack, or disrupt the Service

8. Third-Party Services

VehicleMD uses third-party services to operate. Use of VehicleMD is subject to these providers' terms and policies:

• Anthropic - AI report and chat generation
• NHTSA - Government recall and complaint data
• Supabase - Data storage and caching
• Google reCAPTCHA - Bot protection on the contact form
• Vercel - Hosting and analytics
• Resend - Contact form email delivery

9. Modifications

VehicleMD reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of updated terms. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes.

10. Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of Colorado.
